True Corporation Mobilizes Flood Response in Prachin Buri, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Nayok and Rayong, Strengthens Connectivity and Delivers “Care Bags”
True Corporation is stepping up its response to flooding in eastern Thailand, mobilizing network engineering teams to closely monitor and support operations across Prachin Buri, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Nayok and Rayong. In Prachin Buri in particular, several areas remain affected by flooding, with strong currents reported at some locations, while areas in Chachoengsao, Nakhon Nayok and Rayong continue to require close monitoring. With the risk of further heavy rainfall across the eastern region, True is continuously monitoring water levels, local conditions and potential network risks, while allocating engineering teams and equipment according to conditions on the ground. These efforts aim to keep people connected, enable access to essential information and support the coordination of assistance. At the same time, True is continuing its “True for Thai People” initiative, extending care and delivering “Care Bags” to help ease the impact on people in flood-affected communities.
Strengthening Protection for Base Stations and Switching Centers, with Backup Power Ready for Flood Conditions
True’s engineering teams are stepping up measures to protect base stations, cell sites, and main and secondary switching centers in at-risk areas, particularly low-lying locations and sites near rivers and canals. Additional flood barriers are being installed around switching centers, while generators, batteries, backup power systems and fuel supplies are being prepared in case the main power supply is temporarily suspended for community safety. Refueling and transportation routes are also being planned according to flood conditions and accessibility in each area.
At the same time, the Business Network Intelligence Center (BNIC) continues to monitor network conditions around the clock, using data from base stations, weather conditions and local situations to assess potential risks and prioritize the dispatch of engineering teams and equipment. Cell-On-Wheel (COW) mobile base stations, spare network equipment and vehicles for accessing affected areas are also on standby as conditions require.
“True for Thai People” Delivers Care Bags Alongside Network Operations
Beyond maintaining communication networks, True Corporation continues its “True for Thai People” initiative to extend assistance to flood-affected communities. “Care Bags” containing food, drinking water and other essential supplies are being prepared for delivery to people in flooded areas, alongside ongoing network operations, to provide immediate relief while keeping vital connections available.
True Corporation continues to closely monitor the flood situation and adjust network measures, engineering resources and community assistance according to conditions in each area, supporting the continuity of communications and access to assistance throughout the emergency.
